Alexander Smith or as he is better known Sandy was born a country boy on the morning of the 29th September 1951 just outside the rural village of Kilmacolm in Renfrewshire Scotland.
Sandy was a victim of child physical and sexual abuse at the age of eight years of age and for over fifty years Sandy kept this hidden from family and friends.
Today Sandy has teamed up with his love of his life Jane Taylor also a victim of child abuse in the same children’s orphanage as Sandy and together Sandy and Jane founded Justice For Children where they use there bygone days of being abused to give support to all victims of child sexual abuse.
Sandy and Jane then joined force with the Fresh Start Foundation as they knew it was a step in the right direction to gain the truth and justice not just for themselves but for the others they support.
Sandy is also a founder member of the Fresh Start Foundation which he is very proud of and he knows in his heart it is the only way forward for all victims of child sexual abuse to get the truth and justice they deserve.
Sandy’s hobby’s include fishing and fundraising but his main interest is in music along with poetry and art and also photography and Sandy has had many of his poems put into print and he was asked recently by a support charity to have his poetry and art on display at an event in September 2017.
Sandy first met Andy Peacher a few years ago when Andy asked him to speak at a conference he was organising on child sexual abuse and it was through this conference Sandy gained the confidence to continue speaking out on child sexual abuse.
Sandy also co-hosts a radio show with Andy on Freedom Talk Radio and Sandy has many good stories to be told which begin with Andy and I.
